My lash tech told me DIY lash segments are unsanitary or damaging. Is that true?
We understand there’s concern and even skepticism in the lash industry about DIY segments—and we get it. Like any beauty service, if a lash system is applied without proper sanitation, care, or education, it can absolutely lead to problems.
But LashDASH™ is not a free-for-all DIY service. It’s a professional, intentional alternative applied under strict hygiene standards and paired with clear client education and aftercare.
We don’t cut corners—and we don’t make unrealistic claims.
Instead of replacing extensions, LashDASH™ offers a different option for people who can’t tolerate adhesives, want a quicker service, or need more flexibility. It’s not better or worse—it’s just different. And it’s working beautifully for the right clients.

Can I use lash growth serums with LashDASH™?
That’s a great question—and one we’re currently exploring! At this time, we don’t have enough data to say how lash serums affect LashDASH™ longevity. If your serum is oil-free, it may be just fine—but results may vary.
If you’d like to use a growth serum, we recommend applying it during a short break between LashDASH™ sets—like a 2–3 day window after removal and before your next appointment. This gives you the best chance of benefiting from the serum without impacting retention. We’ll share more updates as we gather feedback from real clients.
